To this blog, my schedule explodes! In a good way :-) I am either decorating, Home Staging or quoting renos every day for the next two weeks, and then some, so smoothies will be keeping me going.
This morning's winner....and I cannot say enough good things about it so we'll call it...
WINNER
1 cup pineapple (fresh or frozen)
1 serving Oikos coconut Greek yoghurt (0% fat)
1/2 cup pure pumpkin
1 cup Coconut Dream milk
Blend and go go go! I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about these flavours! Pure DELIGHT.
Enjoy! Be kind, be smart, be safe!

Drum Roll...
Well after 1 week of being ABSOLUTELY on track and making smoothies a part of that regimen, I am down 3.4 lbs this week. YAY!!!
And truth be told, I feel fantastic. It's amazing what smoothies can do. They make me feel alive, make my taste buds dance and provide a PURE, healthy choice any time you need it.
I have been milking this baby for the past hour...absolutely delicious, thick and rich. What more could you ask for?
1 cup frozen mango
3/4 cup of frozen dark cherries
1 cup Blue Diamond Almond/Coconut Milk Blend
1 serving Oikos 0% coconut Greek yoghurt
Enjoy your day folks. Love hard, love often and do, laugh much!

Thrilled!
Thrilled to report that those of you are following this blog and keeping in touch are doing well! Losses are happening. Makes my heart sing! While I have not registered a loss this week, I didn't gain either so I am MORE than happy with that!
Toiled in the kitchen this week and this smoothie turned out to be delicious! I am LOVING my Ninja Pro because I can throw in my fruit whole (seeds and all!).
Pear of Fruits - ha! Two fruits, get it? ;-)
1 whole pear
1 frozen banana
1 cup of almond milk
1 tsp sunflower seeds (optional)
Blend that sucker and enjoy! Thick, rich and delicious. I am going to play with pears again. I think of them as the forgotten fruit. FULL of fibre and a great tasting juice.
Watch for it!

I'm listening....Day 1
Thank you for touching base. I am listening. I've heard you, You are struggling, as am I.
The good news is, we are not alone. My intention for this blog was always to document this journey in hopes of helping someone. Anyone. Together, we can do this,
It doesn't really matter which program you are following (as long as you are EATING) - none of that shake or cookie nonsense. That will never teach you how to eat regular food and live a healthy life. That's a quick fix. And while I too would love to wake-up to a 15 lb weight loss, we all know that's not the healthy way of doing things.
So here we go....while I will make every attempt to blog something, every day, please don't hold me to it ;-) My life gets in the way sometimes. I can however, be just an e-mail away to help, support or give you that little push you may need. Just ask.
Before going any further, I shall repeat: I AM NOT A DOCTOR so should you take up any healthy eating plan, follow me or anyone else, you are doing so, on your own. Discuss any health issues with your doctor please. I KNOW WHAT WORKS FOR ME, SO I SHARE. I CANNOT GUARANTEE IT WILL WORK FOR YOU.
So let's call this journey, DAY 1 -
1. If you choose WW like I do, I am going to recommend you download itrackbites. It is the BEST $2.99 you will ever spend. It is available for both the iphone and androids. The iphone version is MUCH better for now, allowing you to track your weight and progress as well. Hopefully Android will catch up soon.
I am following what itrackbites calls the CLASSIC program. This is my go-to. Program works for me. Not sure why they revamped it as the new programs DON'T work for me. I am a firm believer in the stick-to-what-works theory, so that's what I do :-) Any time you see me post points here, I am referring to the CLASSIC program. If you mix the points or try to combine both programs, it will NOT work and you could put your health at risk. Choose one program and go for it!
2. Check out some of the great items I try to always have in the house. The MASTER LIST. You do NOT need to buy everything in one swoop. Follow the sales, buy only what you enjoy. If you hate pineapple, do not buy pineapple. That would be a waste.
3. Eating healthy does not have to be expensive. Sure, a pack of Ramen noodles is $ 0.49. But have you every checked out thelack of nutrients in those things? Calories, fat, sodium - YIKES! Buy what's on sale, buy what's in season but for goodness sakes, do buy healthy!

4. Last point for this morning. You MUST MUST MUST track/journal/jot down every single morsel that goes in your mouth. That is not torture, It makes you accountable and it helps reveal your eating patterns. You will see where you "messed up", where your weaknesses may be and at what time of the day you tend to fall off track. You will actually come to enjoy the process as you discover new foods and become more inventive with your choices.
We are in this TOGETHER. Need help? Contact me. Anytime. Follow the blog to receive updates. Ask for help - comment - it's ALL GOOD.
Be kind.
For those of you who cannot or do not wish to purchase the app, there is a list you can print off (warning, it's LONG) - Contact me to receive.

It ain't easy...
Being me. Or you, I suspect. This week has been a write off for me. With my birthday last weekend (lemon meringue pie - delicious but deadly), a round of non stop crap eating ensued.
Typical me. And believe me...no one, and I mean no one is harder on me than I am on myself. Hence why it's not easy being me. I can be nasty to myself. And I aim to STOP that in the new year. I really do.
I am always telling my kids to be kind, be giving, be generous to yourself and others. Perhaps I should listen to that myself.
